Carlsfeld torchlight hikes
Every January and February, the Carlsfeld Tourist Information Office stages a popular series of torchlight hikes for visitors from near and far.
These take place on each Friday in January and on each Thursday in February. Participants meet at the Tourist Information Centre at 6.00 pm.
If you wish to take part in one of the torchlight hikes, please be sure to register for the event by phoning +49 (0) 37752 2000 or by sending an e-mail to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hikes will be cancelled if fewer than 15 registrations are received.
We will be happy to organise separate hikes on additional days for groups of 25 persons and above.
The route, which is about 1 ½ miles in length, leads through the wintery forest over the coping of the Carlsfeld dam to a log cabin. It consists of paved lanes and woodland pathways.
Once they arrive at the log cabin, hikers can expect a romantic winter setting complete with a camp fire, tasty barbecued sausages and hot drinks such as mulled wie and tea.
A fee of € 3,-- per person is charged. Torches can be purchased at prices of € 2,-- ad € 3,-- .
